Decaf La Serranía

Perky Blenders keep one seasonal decaf, and it is currently La Serranía. The name refers to a mountainous part of the western cordillera running through Pitalito, Acevedo, Palestina, Timaná and Suaza in Huila, the largest coffee growing region in Colombia. It is bought through Caravela, who have worked in southern Huila since 2004. Caffeine is removed with the sugarcane ethyl acetate method. Brown sugar sweetness, a thick caramel body and a marzipan finish, with an aroma of crème brûlée. Best for espresso.
